P300 is a component in an event-related potential signal. It appears in signal-detection tasks, e.g., oddball tasks.

P300 can be characterized by latency and applitude. The latency is usually between 300 to 400 milliseconds (thereby the name). It appears with lowest latency around 20 years.[1] The P300 amplitude is typically between 5-20 µV.
